Ben Scriber joined OPIS by IHS Markit in 2015 and has over 20 years of experience in the North American NGL industry.  Prior to joining OPIS, he was a retail and wholesale supply manager for AmeriGas, the largest propane retailer in North America, and began his career as an analyst for Chalkboard, an online trading platform that was acquired and is currently known as ICE. As a balance, Ben also actively serves on the board of the LPG Charity Fund.

Jessica Marron has covered natural gas liquids at OPIS for seven years, including U.S., European and international export markets. Prior to OPIS, she spent 11 years covering natural gas futures and spot markets at Platts, as well as overseeing regulatory coverage leading up to and following the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act. She graduated from Rowan University in New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in women’s studies. She currently resides in the DC Metro area with her husband and three cats.

Mary Welge is a veteran journalist who has followed oil markets and news for 27 years, with particular expertise in natural gas liquids (NGLs). Prior to tracking NGLs and other markets, including West Coast refined products, she covered fuel regulations dating back to the introduction of reformulated gasoline (RFG), and later, ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD). She resides in Jackson, N.J., with her husband.

Career foreign correspondent and award-winning trade journalist. Before joining OPIS in 2015 he headed U.S. news operations out of New York for Lloyd’s List, a daily newspaper published from London. Prior to this, he established and developed the paper’s Nordic bureau in Oslo, Norway. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Ron Nissimov joined OPIS in December as a principal journalist for the USGC LNG and NGL FOB markets, having previously covered LNG for a combined 15 years at Platts and Argus Media. Before working at price reporting agencies he worked in newspapers for 12 years, including nine years at the Houston Chronicle, where he covered city hall, higher education, civil courts and other beats. He holds a master’s degree in journalism form the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Stanford University.
