Tom covered heavy ends at Platts for nearly five years, beginning with residual fuel oil and finishing with bunker fuel and the shipping market. Jack Brewster founded Gas Processors Report, the original news source of the U.S. midstream industry, in 1983. Over the 17 years that he wrote and edited the newsletter, coverage expanded to Canada, and GPR became the indispensable news source for the North American gas pipeline industry, the gas gathering and processing industry, and the natural gas liquids supply and logistics segment. In 2004, Jack relocated to Colombia and covered the midstream gas industry as well as electric power in Brazil. Raised in Wheaton, Illinois, Jack attended Duke University, Durham NC, and earned a B.A. in economics.
